Enacom's D3M starts with an exploratory study to identify bottlenecks, potential solutions, and opportunities that deliver the greatest impact on your company's operation.

The result is a report that will support decisions on the company's priority technology investments. This reduces the risk of making hasty decisions or decisions based on unfounded assumptions.

The solution, powered by data analytics technologies such as machine learning and Big Data, can be used across a wide range of sectors, including business, government, and healthcare.

What is D3M and what is it for?

D3M improves processes built on the collection and analysis of information. In the business world, it means putting data at the center of decision-making and strategic planning, relying on trustworthy sources instead of running the company by intuition.

Basically, this multidisciplinary science uses scientific methods, processes, and algorithms to extract knowledge from structured and unstructured data.

To do so, it uses computational analysis (Analytics) of large volumes of data (Big Data) to solve problems and generate insights, drawing on Artificial Intelligence and machine learning technologies.

Check out some uses of D3M in Industry 4.0

  • Data analysis. D3M can be used for real-time data analysis, which is fundamental in Industry 4.0. This analysis enables immediate decision-making to optimize production processes and reduce waste.
  • Process management. With D3M, it is possible to manage and monitor the stages of production processes, allowing the team to identify the best time for maintenance and failure prevention.
  • Resource optimization. Using D3M enables the analysis of consumption data for electricity, water, compressed air, and other resources, supporting cost management and the efficiency of production processes.
  • Quality control. The D3M platform can also be used to monitor the quality of manufactured products, analyzing samples and identifying potential areas for improvement in production.
  • Demand forecasting. By analyzing the data collected by D3M, it is possible to forecast product demand, supporting inventory management and making production more efficient and accurate.

How is Enacom's D3M carried out?

1. Semi-structured interviews and data collection with stakeholders and groups

Understanding the problems inherent to the process chain;

Understanding the department's routine;

Understanding how key users perform their daily tasks.

2. Defining pain points and opportunities

Mapping the flow of information and data to the optimization system;

Understanding the limitations and the objective function.

3. Workshop to prioritize stakeholder opportunities together with the technical team

Defining which opportunity or opportunities will receive an optimized solution.

4. Connection with the business strategy

Defining the objective functions;

Defining the constraints;

Defining the investment horizon.

5. Building a Roadmap with the suggested action plan for implementing the defined solutions.

Advantages of D3M for your company

  • Detailed assessment of management maturity. a complete report on the maturity of data use in decisions made at every level of work in the department.
  • Multidisciplinary and multifactorial view. encourages teams to sharpen their critical thinking about the department's pain points and opportunities with specialists from different skill sets and fields of knowledge.

Testing, simulation, and evaluation of the scenarios identified: identifies and explores opportunities from the perspective of the available data.

  • Realistic forecast of return on investment. highlights the synergy between different initiatives, prioritizing execution to accelerate gains.
  • Strategic trade-offs. captures information that supports the business's strategic trade-offs related to the adoption of new technologies.

Enacom's D3M report includes:

  • Definition of the profiles involved in the operation
  • Process map
  • Description of bottlenecks and opportunities
  • Gain vs. Effort matrix
  • Roadmap to support decision-making.
